John,
Sorry I left out the month/week. She was made in the 21st week of 2004. I guess that would be the middle of May, 2004?

Great to have some more of the really old ones in the database, Ron. Thanks! You're '64 is right in line with some of my own favorites. And there's a whole lot of difference there between your '64 and your other two!

Reminds me that I never relayed measurements for the early 4003 I picked up to tide me over while the 4001 gets a new skin.

4003BG - Apr 1980
1st: 11.2
3rd: 11.5
12th: 12.8

Sounds like it! Crazy thin! Is it strong enough to take any strings other than TI jazz flats?

dear mr. addict ! the only time i ever used flats was on a '76 p-bass ans they were ghs black nylons ! i've otherwise always used roto sound swings 105-45 (which in moncton, new brunswick, in 1976 were $44.00 !!!!!!) or a brand in toronto dist. by long & mcquade stores as their house brand round wounds made of swedish steel in same guage. they are a raw string (not polished) almost gray in color and very doingy ! doingy sounds and crunch go well together on a rick. that '68 noodles really well.

Matt sent me these C64 measurements:
MattB wrote:John,

I almost forgot that I did take neck measurements of the C64's I tried the other day. Don't know whether you want the data for your Excel file, but here there are just in case:

4001C64S-MG Sep-09 11.4 11.7 13.3
4001C64S-JG Sep-09 11.5 11.8 13.3
4001C64-FG Oct-09 11.5 12.0 13.5

Link to data:

I'm sure there is a link somewhere else on this forum in a location that makes complete sense to people with normal brains, but alas...I'm not one of those people!
