Heeeelp! can someone look after a Horse for me!

Post by weemac »

Hi all!
I won this on the bay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... K:MEWNX:IT

Bargian right?

Well the chap is trying to charge me $144 for international postage to Australia (I think he has worked out that he sold it a bit cheap)
I've sent him the USPS links for sensible postage but he has said that he won't budge...

He is in New York.

Could I get it sent to someone here in the States and then get it sent to me in the land down under.

If any of you folks wish to be a stop off point for these bits, you could be a help to me and in the help in the battle against dodgy Ebay merchants.

If you can help Please stick your hand up and PM me with your address.

Dosen't it kind of suck when this happens...

Eden.

Nice grab -- I saw that when it was originally posted, and he must have added the BIN a little bit later, because there was definitely no BIN when I saw it.

It looks like Tony's already jumping in, but let me know if I can help at all. I actually even have a coworker traveling to your country in a few weeks (not that he knows anything about Ricks, but still).

Nice score, Eden! Congrats!
Looks like Tony has it under control, but I'm also able to help if you need me.

Me too if needed. V63 pup set for that price?! Wow. These will weigh in at about 12k ohms each.

If they went to your place John they would never leave....

Here is another "under the radar" that I scored, but this one seems to be going smoothly so far: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... K:MEWNX:IT

Eden! And here I offered to help... Actually I already have a V63, four Rick basses horsey capable, and 4 horseshoe pickups. So I am good to go.

Sure hope the guy honors the auction. That bridge used is about what it should be, possibly a tad low.

Keep us up on how the horsey auction proceeds.

Good news, the chap accepted the address changed and I've paid him.
All thanks to Tony (and everyone else who stood up as well)
Now lets see what happens..

Glad to lend a hand Eden, and very happy it worked out for you!

The Post Office is a frequent stop for me, so it's not biggie at all.

Happy to help!

Yes, great scores! Great price on the pickup set. I saw it when there was no BIN.

I'd be more interested in the S/5 bridge though. Let me know if you want to flip it!

Nice one Eden! And kudos to Tony for the assist (not forgetting the kind offers of Jake, Joey and John). A happy ending that will have me smiling all day! :D
