Hi today i picked up the bass and i noticed that it was difficult to move the switch, so i removed the pickguard to see if something was wrong ... well nothing seem to be wrong; the fact is that when you switch the selector in single pick up position from the central position is all ok, instead when you switch back from single pick up (bridge or neck) to the center position, the metal wings of the switch circuit opposes against the part of the switch touching it, so i need a great amount of force to put it back to the central position; but also this operation can warp the metal wing so i'm wondering what the hell has happened ... maybe can you provide some photo of a working switch and their metal wings correctly working ? mine is a 75 stereo '4001
thank you

If nothing is bent or out of alignment it may need a little lube/grease. I would recommend a die-electric silicone grease. May sure it goes on the toggle and not were electrical contact is made.

Re: Toggle switch problem
The video is a bit dark, hard to see. Go with Ken's advice. Could be a bit a dirt and corrosion keeping the switch from moving easily. If so, the grease would take care of that.
