I have a couple of questions...nothing that's going to keep me up nights, but:

1. What is the 'no-neck' axe? A 6-string autoharp?

2. How do you play the 'bass' portion...with a bottleneck?

Maybe you're just supposed to place it on the floor and drop thousands of well-aimed ball bearings on it, like in those silly 'Anijam' videos...
I didn't get where I am today by being on time...

Speaking of Mod Squad....
I once met Clarance ("Linc Hayes") Williams III at the Rolex repair place in midtown Manhattan.... around 1977. Nice guy. He was getting his Rolex repaired (a common thing for the much over-rated watch brand), and I was getting my "Tudor" repaired which is a lesser kind of Rolex.... think early Squire compared to Fender..... thats right, really junky.

I'll post a video when it arrives. Hope it comes with tuning instructions...

Believe it or not I've seen an instrument really similar to this played in person, although it looked a lot more sensible and seemed more geared towards classical guitar players and their needs, with several drone strings (which is what the top part of this is I assume?). The sound was actually quite nice. I wish I had a picture to share. This seems like that other instrument's sad-looking cousin.

For a right-handed player, the "top" strings are a bass guitar! I guess those could drone, though ...
