In their heyday, who was the better drummer?
Charlie Watts or Chris Curtis?

Charlie has got to be one of the finest drummers ever, bar none. However, IMHO, The Searchers' records were not produced very well. With better production, perhaps CC's chops would have had more meat to 'em, thereby showcasing his talent a bit better.

But remember Chris took care of some singing too, something e.g. Charlie Watts didn't have to think about. That would make a difference!(?)

Searchers amongst my teenage favourite music. Still fond of them, but earnestly a little puzzled they are considered THIS big! But I'm very excited about this forum, and will love to read it regularly, and also contribute!

I'm not sure I'd like to hear Charlie sing!
