Re: Killer Dwarfs
what are you starting ? no ricky in there ! they didn't handle the half-step down tuning very well and retired them in '88. for the compilation era you viewed was a '72 bassball bat neck natual p-bass i used for d-tuning songs, an ibanez mc-980 8 string for ...you guessed it...the 8-string songs, and the black hockey stick bass was a collaboration between lado guitars and myself. the body was patterned off the fender "performer" series with a jackson style neck, schaller machines, custom alembic pickups and electronics. first used it while the paint was still tacky when we toured england with maiden for a month,nov.-dec. '88. moog taurus mk1 pedals, two ampeg svt's etc. BUT NO RICKY !

Re: Killer Dwarfs
yes, yes. even i was guilty of the jumpsuit thing ! original keys, MD '73 deluxe trc, replaced headstock to the third fret, original bridge modified (milled) to take the newer saddle assy, homemade pickguard (white plexi), MD '73 neck p/u, '86 rear p/u assy, was found in a pawn shop/used music store (hudson's music) toronto off jane street, 1983. i replaced the horseshoe p/u with an understring from MD '73 deluxe. now has black body, natural neck, white painted maple on the headstock area a la squire. have used schaller straplocks since 1985.
