CALENDAR SUBMISSIONS!!!

Post by jingle_jangle »

OK, it's time once again to call for photo submissions for our RRF 2010 annual calendar.

This year, we're doing a theme of Rickenbacker owners and their instruments. I'll pick the best dozen of these submissions, based upon originality and presentation. If you saw Gareth's terrific photo on last year's calendar, you know what I'm looking for.

Now, I know it was professionally-taken, but it does give us a benchmark to aim for.

You can send digital files to the email in my profile; files should be between 1.5 MB and about 10 MB each, so I can get enough resolution into my 300DPI format for editing.

Put on your creative thinking caps and let;s see that photo of you and your Rick that you've been dying to take or show everybody!

Deadline for submissions will be December 1st; calendars will be available on the 5th for Christmas giving.

NOTE that this year, we're marking the calendars up to give Peter a bit o' help with the cost of keeping the RRF online! So prices will be higher, but for a very good cause.

Hmmmmm..... I took all kinds of cool pictures of my guitars this year with the calendar in mind, but I'm not in any of them!

This new theme idea changes everything, and now I have no idea what to do for a picture.... :?

It will be pretty cool to see what other people submit for this--I've seen quite a few cool pictures of people with their Rics here at RickResource! :)

Yeah, I was going to take some nice pics of my Ricks, but I wouldn't really want to ruin them by having myself in the pics too...

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

I'll send you a few in the next week or so, Paul. I just got a new computer last weekend and Marco didn't have time to load any of my programs except for the bare necessities: email and internet, before he left on a business trip. I don't have access to my photo files or photo processing programs yet. I'm going through withdrawals, since I don't even have my iTunes program loaded yet!

Was that deliberate on Marco's part?

More time for you to play guitar!

In my dreams.... I was hoping to not only have time to play guitar but also to work on a bit of recording. But Marc's computer is completely operational, and while he is gone I'm running the business single-handedly, and still have a list of projects a mile long to tackle--it's been a crazy week!

If he'd bought you a Mac, you'd have been all set as soon as it booted up.

Oh, I'd love a Mac, but my hubby would have none of that--he's a staunch PC guy!

And no, that's not "politically correct!"
