GREAT RADIO SPOT BY THE CHURCH...

Post by jingle_jangle »

They appeared on KCRW a few weeks back, and the entire hour is available as streaming video on KCRW.com. The whole thing is downloadable as well. Go to KCRW.com, pull down menu on left, click on "in studio".

Marty even uses a brand new JG 370/12 in one song. Sticker still on the pickguard!

It's a pretty good performance from the LA leg of their last tour.

I think Marty's playing his stalwart 370/12 RM recently restored to life by the wizards at RIC. That thing has seen a lot of use on 3 continents.

You would groan if you'd seen some of the antics he's done with that thing. During the finale of their shows a few years back Marty took to violently de-stringing the 370/12RM by playing it so viciously that each string broke in turn. Made for some nice photo ops (and spectacle), but I grimaced each time I saw him do it.

This was a great show! I looked up a couple of other shows on the site. Franz Ferdinand also performed. Their bass player used a 3001.
