325 Reissue Headstocks
Apologies in advance if this has already been asked and answered, but just curious--do the 325v63s and V59s have the larger Ric headstock?
Thanks, Bill

Re: 325 Reissue Headstocks
Initially, both had the 'paddle-head.' At some point during the '90s, the v63 headstock was slimmed down. I owned a '98 with a slimmer headstock, but it wasn't as slim as my c64.

Re: 325 Reissue Headstocks
While a piece of history, the paddle headstock on my 350 always seemed excessive to me and after 10 years I eventually had it slimmed down.

I quite agree, slimming is better than sliming. At last, a form of slimming that we can all enjoy

Back to your regular 325 programming. I apologize for the off topic discussion.

Re: 325 Reissue Headstocks
The headstock shape was changed on the reissues with the introduction of the John Lennon Limited Editions.
I provided two 1964 325s to measure for the Lennon models, and I know for a fact the headstocks were done, as I watched the process. For reasons unknown they settled on the ‘stylized’ version provided by the Japanese distributor.

Re: 325 Reissue Headstocks
Scott, very cool! Since I've never scene a vintage instrument (except for the Lennon photos), were the larger headstocks more true to the originals than the headstocks on the c58s/c64s? I know in some of the pics of The Beatles, the headstock on Lennon's guitar looks quite large.

Here's a shot of my 1984 325v59 JG next to the c58 that I once owned.
