Re: Lets See Your Strat
OK, it's not exactly mine, but the friend who loaned it to me said to keep it as long as I want and if something happens to him, it's mine. Pretty much the same deal as the '76 4001 AZ I got from him, only I haven't convinced him to take any money for this one yet. Besides, I don't even know how to play one of these little thin stringed thingies.
Anyway, it's a MIM body with a USA neck:

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

I have a few Strats but here is my latest courtesy of a highly regarded forum member and friend Bill Mahoney.

Re: Lets See Your Strat
I have a AVRI '62 Strat. I like it, very versatile guitar that knows how to do it all.
My only problem is when plugged into the "Vibrato" channel of my Fender amp. It sounds TOO bright. To remedy this situation, I plug into the "Normal" channel, and it sounds fine.

Very nice, Brian. What have you done to it? I especially like the color.winston wrote: This is a 57 RI Japanese Fender Stratocaster with a very few, but tasteful modifications.

I am not surprised at all that you like the colour John. I'll bet Paul A likes the colour too

Re: Lets See Your Strat

Another shot, with my basses.

86 Squier w/black trim & new style carbon fiber bridge saddles. This one replaced my 84 that was stolen, which had a rosewood board, black pickguard with white knobs and pickup covers and a Seymour Duncan 1/4 pounder in the bridge position.

Here's mine, an Am Deluxe V-neck I bought new in '06. I also have a Squier Standard Cherryburst, but don't have a picture handy. (PS--thanks for the kind words Brian, very glad you're still happy with her--she's a sweetheart for sure!)
