Mark: I agree, a terrific look.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Perhaps this bass is one of the last C64's and RIC had run out of the nameplates so they used a normal one?

Yeah, but they want a grand more for the blue ones (a glossy MID, too) than the black ones. Sorry.

I wrote to Jeff T. (rickaddict) a few weeks ago and confessed my undying love for all three of these from Olivia's: the satin JG, MID and "bright MID." I wasn't going to post a link here for fear of tipping y'all off. But have at it.

I just bought a new cabinet and there's plenty of wood and all in my music room for now.
Can we have everything louder than everything else?

A look at RIC's website shows that a total of three Mid Blue C64S' were recently shipped to dealers.

I wonder why RIC moved away from the vintage HS surround? ANY ideas?

Gorgeous basses!! I have a 4001C64S in satin FG I recently purchased from POTRs that is fantastic to play and to look at.

Since these basses are no longer being offered, and these are the last run of ordered instruments, it is curious these rare finishes are coming out of the RIC company. Maybe a last "hurrah" for the 4001C64 series?

Ooof! Didn't know that. Then again, I'm not in the market for a new one at this time, anyhoo. :(

The C64S model is based on Macca's later version which has a modern surround; you will note that the C64 has the vintage style surround.
