Re: Drop "D" tuner for 4003
i use to play in a band and all their songs were d-tuned. i didn't like the way my ric played. too floppy or somthing. i wished i had a second bass for that.

Different strings would have solved the flop, Lonnie.

My band tunes down 1/2 step and I use the drop-d. I just had to go up a string size to Stoppin Von Floppin (to keep in with the D-D theme)

nah i'm hard headed bout my strings, besides the band didn't last long anyway. now i ask first, if they're set on d-tuning, i won't play.

I'm playing with a band that plays in D tuning. I stay in E, with the drop-D with the Hipshot if I really need it. No need to alter what you do for the guitar players.

I went to the Hipshot web page, and could not find a drop d tuner for a Rickenbacker. I found Musicman and Fender. Am I missing it?
If I used a Fender one, wouldn't the difference in scale make a difference?

The M4 is the one that used to say for Rickenbacker. I had/have 3 of these on Rics.
