decoding text in the cavity

Post by jamespaul71 »

Anybody know what the initials are? I think mine says "4001 + L Rg" or something close to that. Any ideas?

There have been many times that people have asked what the mysterious markings in Rick control cavities mean. As near as we can tell, they arerunes left by the aliens who secretly help build the guitars and basses.

Seriously though, they are just initials and other markings put there by employees during the manufacturing process.

My 1975 4001 has:

FLORIO
4001-T
BC

I was told that Florio was the name of a person who worked in the hand sanding dept.

Either that, or else it's from The Matrix.
