Over the now nearly 38 years, I have been following the Band, first time I saw them live though was 67, I have seen them perform a number of songs, that have, never been recorded or if they have have not yet seen the light of day.

Before the purists argue that a couple of tracks are on their "Live"CD, I discount it, as The Cd was not available commercially, only through Gigs, so in my book doesn't count.

I thought it may be of interest to list them, I have put in ()the original atrist who recorded the track where known.

I am sure others will come up with a list, make a great album. Only "Love Song" has been performed by the SJ era.

I beleive they have done Tambourine Man but can't go on my list, as I have not heard it

Though I have never heard "Sunday Morning Coming Down" (as done by anyone), the title looked familiar to me, so I looked it up. It was written by Kris Kristofferson, and both Ray Stevens and Johnny Cash hit the Hot 100 with it in the late sixties/early seventies. I don't know who recorded it originally, and again, I don't actually know the song.

"Take Me Tonight" is a great song. I bet Mike did a really good job with that one. Did they do some two-part vocal harmonies on it? That must have been interesting to hear, if you knew the Pitney version as well.

And Roy, you know you caught my eye there with the "SJ era"--it took me a minute to realize you meant Spencer James! But if Spencer ever leaves the group, who knows? I do a pretty mean "Goodbye My Love".......

Very interesting thread Roy. I have heard it through the grapevine that the Searchers briefly considered doing Mr. Tambourine but I am not sure that they ever performed this one live. A great question for Frank Allen.

The Searchers have definitely done "Mr Tambourine Man" live. I've heard it! John McNally does a great vocal. and the 12-string? Fantastic!!

John McNally's 620/12 Rickenbacker is a sight to behold. I am pleased to hear that he is using it on Mr. Tambourine Man, one of the greatest songs for the Rickenbacker 12 String of all time. Thanks Tim.
