I fell off a ladder this past summer when ground under the ladder gave way. It's not a lot of fun I can tell you. I was walking with a limp from a badly sprained ankle for weeks and my arm and legs suffered abrasions. I also received a nasty cut on the forehead when the air nailer I had in my hand landed on it from about 10 ft up in the air. :?

Ugh! I'm glad I don't bother to put up lights... Nobody around to see 'em anyway...

Not a job for me, either. And I live in a one story house.

Nope, not me!

A friend sent that photo to me with this caption:

"Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after 2 days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories. But two things made me take it down.

First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by.

Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder and almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn't realize it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn't take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard."

A guy did about the same thing here in town last year, but had the "guy" hanging by one foot from the string of lights...

Stayed up there all winter too. There were a few concerned folks at first, but in a town of 1800, word gets around fast...
