Back on the East Coast

Post by just_bassics »

Yes announced yesterday new tour dates for the East Coast in February. Tour dates can be found here:

http://www.yesworld.com/ywtour.html

I see that the Florida dates are outdoor venues. Tony, are you going? How bad does Fla need the rain?

Well, I'm be at at LEAST one of those shows. GREAT, another outdoor venue. I vowed I'd NEVER do that again.....so much for me keeping my word!

I hope they bring an EXTRA set of keyboards this time. I'll bring the lightning rod.

HOPEFULLY, they'll get through an entire show this time, I'm more worried about the fire ants and gators this time around! The whole arena is surrounded by water!
It's getting dangerous to see YES these days!

Excellent news. Looks like they are playing in a nice and cozy venue in Detroit much like their first time around before
the tour last summer.

Looking forward to seeing them again.

I'm just about an hours ride to Boca, this place is about 5 minutes from my daughters dorm at school! 8)

Tickets purchased here....this Christmas will be visions of Yes songs running through my head. And it appears I'll be about 7 seats in from the aisle in front of Chris and Oliver this time. As opposed to right in front of Steve last time. Be nice to see both of them closer this time.

So with Asia not opening for them (or anyone for that matter AFAIK) do you think we'll get a longer set list than the summer tour?

I just saw them in the UK last month, there was no support and Yes were on stage very very early, so make sure you check with the venue exactly what time they are expected to hit the stage. I know from looking at the tour forum comments on Yesworld that a few people have been caught out and missed the start of the show, I was lucky I saw the comments and double checked.

They played with no breaks other than Steve Howe's acoustic spot. Excellent gig, I bought the USB stick of my gig on the way out and listened to it in the car on the way home...gotta love technology!

USB stick of the gig? That's something new to me! Didn't see those for the previous 2 tours (or at least I didn't).

So how long would you say they played?

It was about 2.5 hours :D The USB sticks are done by a German company called Concert Online, at least for the European tour. I don't know if there's a different setup or equivalent for the US tour. Here's their website, and if licensing laws permit you can pay to download entire gigs too:
