That was refreshing! Thanks! Interesting take on the 80s.... Back then I always felt I'd ALMOST welcome a return of disco if most of the 80s would have gone away. Sorry Gen Xers....

Great links there Mark, really good to see them still at it. Cool that they mention the Donnas, those chicks rock!
Their comments about being part of the 80s really reflect what a lot of bands were going through at the time, and that generation. This is why a good portion of us poor folks turned to previous generations for our musical inspirations. Not all of it was bad, but most of the stuff rammed down our throats(uh-charting-sure
)was absolute rubbish, IMO. Duran Duran touted as the new Beatles, are you freakin kidding me?

A film made at the US festival was on TV a few months ago.
Every one of the acts (except Brian Setzer) were just G-d awful.
Glad that decade is over.

Re: More Bangles Stuff
Thanks for the CNN link, Mark, that you posted several months ago.
On a United flight I took right before Thanksgiving they had a picture of the Bangles in their UAL Inflight magazine (Suzanna looking striking with her Limited Edition Ric) and the Bangles' Artist's Confidential show was broadcast on UAL's in-flight entertainment Sirius broadcast. Must be the one referenced from Mark's posting in June.
It was a very good concert and interviews they did. The ladies singing/harmonizing and playing was really good, as it was a controlled live Studio segment as oppossed to being up on a stage in a stadium. They did all their hits on this 45 minute segment - Manic Monday, If She Knew What She Wanted, Hazy Shade of Winter, Walk Like an Eqyptian, etc. Also talked about some of the new tunes they are writing or starting to write for the upcoming CD project.
I'm sure they will repeat the Artists Confidential shows on Sirius .... Highly recommend you Bangles fans to check it out.
Paul, thanks for posting the You Tube link -- sounds like a Ric 12 string chiming in towards the end of that song.
