Ok, so it's not Rickenbacker's Color of the Year.

Turquoise might be a good color of the year, if they do them again. RIC did bring back Burgundy for one COY.
I'd prefer a trans or burst turquoise or teal on a Rick for a COY.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Ohhhh yeah. Turquoise is good! :D

I'm curious to see if there even is a RIC COY in 2010.

Wouldn't this be cool (a little photo editing involved)? The fingerboard would most likely have to be maple instead of rosewood to get it to stain turquoise.

Well, I think that would look great with a rosewood fretboard too...
:D
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Yeah, I could go for that. I think a rosewood fingerboard would be best, however.

I'm more interested in a MODEL of the year myself.

Just think of the possibilities! 8)

That prototype Aqua Marine 660/12 color would get my vote. I so want to refinish a 350 Liverpool in this color with vintage appointments like a 350 V63.

That finish would definitely apply to the 'rare finishes' thread.

I'd take a bass in that. :D

My original '73 4001 was originally fireglo. I modded it to a Turquoise-teal sunburst with a deep purple edge. It looked sharp especially with the Mother-of-pearl inlays and the Badass Bridge mod. It was trick. Too bad no pix. Sorry.
