I think there is a place for everyone, especially when it comes to discussing Rickenbackers. Different sites take different perpectives which rounds out our world view. The RRF does not allow links to other forums as it often times leads to conflict on this board that does not have its origins here. A quick trip to your favourite browser will allow you to see what is available on the net.

Diff'nt strokes for diff'nt blokes.

Let see wha' 'appens.

This (RRF) is the best forum on the entire internet, so nothing will blow it out of the water.

More RIC talk is a good ting.

(Let's see if their avatars wear Santa hatz)

PS, OK, I admit it. I haven't changed my avatar since LAST Christmas. Come 2010, something new (that bird flew away anyway... so sad).

I am already in my favourite browser... a favourite search engine, perchance?

I did a search for Rickenbacker forum on Yahoo.co.uk... Rickresource was the first result, followed by Rickenbacker's own forum. No new forums listed... Enough said :P

Took a quick look...I wonder about the guy's Rick knowledge (and, by extension, his enthusiasm and reason for starting this up...). He has boilerplated some Rick history on the home page, which of course refers to "Rickenbacker International Corporation" a number of times, yet his disclaimer calls it "Rickenbacker Guitar Company".

You're also allowed (apparently) to assume any name you want (no request for real contact info), which could turn it into a free-for-all, like most other guitar forums.

The forum name was deleted as a link but it can stand a reference. It is called rickenbackerguitars.net

The name of the owner of the site looks familiar to me but a search here came up with no results. Maybe it is similar to name from elsewhere. I see a member from has already signed on. One thing about our RR forum is the use of real names. It just makes it more personal.

Well, I checked out this new Ric fans site and read the intro page ---- but he makes a curious reference to "the most current rock groups on MTV... "

When was the last time MTV showed "rock videos" ?? :? All the MTV programs the young pepole in my household watch are dealing with Rehab for sex and drugs and other special "made for MTV" programming. Not much to do with music... :?

+1 i think if someone stumbles acrosss this sight and are looking for some help thats a good thing and im sure they will be directed to the RRF and the RIC sites from thereon.I think its important to accentuate the positive and if it involves talking about rickenbackers why not.
