Rose Morris 335 value

Post by Grail Hunter »

Hi everybody

I just let a beautiful Rose Morris 335 from 1964 slip through my fingers :( . I'm really no Rickenbacker expert, so I was wondering how much to pay for this instrument. Any ideas about the current market value of these, just for the sake of curiosity?
thx

How did THAT escape without more bids? Well, I don't know if it actually sold or not... :?

That guitar is worth thousands of dollars more than that if it's all original (I can't translate it...). Wow.

PS, the serial number for the guitar (DE591) is 100% legit too. I own DE598, which is a Rose Morris 1998 model (only 7 numbers away).

 Well it was the buy it now price and yes it sold for 1890.- Euros. A corner of the headstock was apparently snapped off + the trem bar and the case were missing. Other than that the guitar was all original and had been in the possession of the seller for the past 30 odd years. So how much do these normally go for?

$6000 and up in mint condition. Even in that condition, it's worth twice it's selling price.

Doh!!!

Interesting.

For a May 64 instrument that does not have the classic dark Fireglo shading. That shade looks like the late 66/67 burst, or the 63.

Could have faded more?

My '64 from the same week has a slightly darker shade, but really ambered.
