If you didn't know the serial numbers it would be very difficult to tell!!

Not difficult at all.

Even those two photos as posted (unenlarged) show the difference clearly--the mix for Walnut (bottom) is much "cooler" and more neutral than MB (top), which shows a reddish-amber tone in the transitional shading, due to its red and amber content.

Walnut is a cool brown, which actually grays out in low concentrations like the transitional shading area.

Mine too......don't know what it is about them but Rickenbacker does 'em right!!

Hate to throw a curve into the works, but brown is my LEAST favorite color on Ricks. I even had my Walnut 360/12 refinished red. Life is better now.

The "Browns" are among of my favorite finishes.

My Autumn Glo 4001 is a fave of mine. So I agree after my JG Rickenbackers, the browns are next on my list followed closely by AFG and the new FG.............. :wink:
