Twisted headstock and flat fretboard

I saw a new 330/6 hanging in a local store and checked it out last week. The neck itself and the fretboard appear quite straight and level with the body of the guitar, but the headstock seems to be slightly out of plane with the body. Is this a manufacturing defect or is this the design of the guitar?

This is not enough info to give you a good answer to .

Do you mean ;

1-from straight on ,the headstock is tiltedto one side ,one way or the other?

2-it is tilted back away from the fretboard ?

3- the headstock literally is not only angled away ,but turned slightly to say the bass or the treble side ?

4- I left my glasses at home and the world is a little out of focus at the moment

5- this bong water sure tastes bad

6- even Jerry had better acid than this !

Eh, I meant #3 - the headstock is tilted slightly to the treble side (as is the nut - seems to be raised slightly on the bass side - possibly to accomodate the heavier bass strings).

Yeah ,this is not too hard to do ...even in the best guitars.

I have seen plenty of Fender Strat headstocks ,where the whole headstock curls

This angling thing is rare ...but it happens .It does not hurt anything .I have also seen the headstocks tilted to one side or the other.

As to the 1 thru 6 ....just having some fun .It's not personal ....nor do I partake of those .At least not for a long long long time .22 years ago was a different story.

Maple does do interesting things .Look at some of the old 1960's 360 bodies...they curl up .Many of these old axes have the bridges done to the face.And could go lower .
