Much is being made of the official RIC announcement of the "same models, same prices, new carpet" post, but this type of self-deprecating humor is evident in another post on the RIC website, as well.
In the GALLERY SECTION under GUITARS, the following message appears in the 2000's section:
WE HAVEN'T GOTTEN A CHANCE TO PULL THESE OUT OF OUR ARCHIVES YET.
CHECK BACK SOON.
Officially, a decade late!
RIC is a strong, independent, fabulously successful company who makes no apologies. Or needs to.
To know them is to love them!

Re: RIC Humor
Im astonished that people get so wound up about such a little thing and invest time getting wound up about it.Maybe people should think that this little rock we live on spins fast and while it spins people Laugh, die and cry all at the same time.I didnt give the statement a second thought it was meant to be taken in good stead but to many it has been over analysed and turned into something that its not.

Re: RIC Humor
JH has a very dry sense of humor, not everyone gets it.
I ASSUME it was he that made the comment, and I did find it very funny actually. Sure, I'd LOVE to see something new, or a new COY...but
I'm SURE with the economy being what it is, it was a wise move to just stick to the basics for another year.
I took it for what I honestly believe it was intended, a joke...not an insult or dig at his customers.
