The registry shows 9376 entries, but when you do a new entry we are on 11200ish. What happened to the other 2800 entries?
Here is an example:
i bought a 1975 420 FG serial number OC 1849. It does not show up as registered as one of the 9376 entries. But when I try and add it to the registry, it says:
ERROR: Serial number already exists for record #10551
While it is common for this error to occur if a item was just listed, a #10551 is pretty old.

Re: Lost entries
Hi,
As you know - we are currently collected unidentified items, these items are currently gather for statistical purposes and are not a part of the register although the register platform is used for these items.
The "missing" entries are mostly unidentified items (items that have no serial number) that are not a part of the statistics and cannot be searched via the search engine.
Your instrument was added as an unidentified item and was edited with a serial number later on, that's why it didn't appear in any search.
I will modify the system so when a valid serial number is entered - it will remove the unidentified marking and make the instrument a regular item.

So long and thanks for all the fish!
Re: Lost entries
As always, thanks Gil.
I know that 1967 615 FG, that sold last week is in the "un-id's" but the serial number is there as well. I have the pics on my desk to add as well.
