Mini octave bass
Mini octave bass
While at NAMM I got to play with a couple of these really cool "basses".

Re: Mini octave bass
EADG an octave higher than standard bass. This would be killer with a great octave divider like the Aguilar model, that would give superb versatility. The feel of the "bass" was really nice. I think these Marleaux bodies look fantastic, same as their full size counterparts, which I have always liked.

A 57cm (22.44094") scale! That is extremely short for a bass. What are the string gauges.

No idea Ken, but I know they don't feel like typical piccolo bass strings as they are are wound strings.
I think the 57cm bullet point description is wrong; in the first paragraph of the text it says 54cm (21.2598425"), which is what Gerald told me the scale is. I see it comes with an octave divider, but I did not see or use it so I do not know who makes it. The Consat Sopran was a lot of fun to play!
This was easily my favorite bass type instrument at NAMM.
