I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

I just acquired a red one in a partial trade; blade pickups and all maple neck. I don't know what I'm going to do with it yet.

However, if anyone has a severely abused Rick bass with a still-straight neck, I'll trade the Peavey and a Washburn B-20-8 8 string bass for it.

A lot of people are saying this bass is really heavy. It is, but not too heavy. I'm 13 and play my T-40 all the time. Sure, it took a while to get used to the weight ...1982 with sunburst. So before i got the T-40, i was playing a little Ibanez Gio (startup bass) and had little interest in playing. I freaking love this thing, and I've gotten ridiculously good (sorry, gotta brag) since i started playing it. People say the gear doesnt make you better, and normally I'd agree, but in this case it did. I got it from my brother-in-law, who bought it quite a while ago from his friend. I've put a set of Ernie ball Extra Slinky's on it, because it was missing the 4th string when i got it. I dont plan on selling it for a very long time. Yeah, im 13, but i treat this thing like its worth more than me...

Welcome Nick!

Many of the members here cut their teeth on a T-40.

You are young yet, when you get OLD like me (and a few other members here) the weight can make a difference.

I have a fretless T40, and the weight does get me if I play it too often. I have a 4" Neoprene strap that makes a big difference when playing it for a long set.

Don't be a stranger, stick around and post often!
