What a thick-necked 4003 sounds like.

Post by cassius987 »

I've threatened to post some clips of my January 2009 4003 a few times so people could hear a chunky-necked 4003 in action; I did post "Spark" already, but I think a live unedited take is probably more revealing. The sound is not all that different from any other 4003, other than seeming to have some more low mids (if you ask me).

My new project got together for the very first time the other night and Jeff (guitarist) set up two room mics, so that's what this is from--at the end of the rehearsal I just wanted to goof off a bit. The track is just me committing a heinous act of pitiful wankery while the drummer does his best to keep up, and the open-chord tuned, not-a-solo-type-of-guy guitarist even more so. Bridge pickup (HB-1) soloed, tone control almost all the way down so it's a pretty warm tone.

Click on 12 Jammin' for noises to happen: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default ... dID=816857

The beast, with HB-1s:
