What's the 4004 LK carving artist's name?
Hi gang, I was looking at some 4004 LK pics and wondered what the gentleman's name, who did the body carving, was. Can anyone enlighten me?

His first name is Rick, IIRC. Didn't get his last name. He was not the only person to carve the LK's. I think there was someone after him and possibly before him as well.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!

Richard Seccombe. He was Ric factory manager for a year or so.rickenbrother wrote:His first name is Rick, IIRC. Didn't get his last name. He was not the only person to carve the LK's. I think there was someone after him and possibly before him as well.
What Joey said - Rick was actually the last person to carve the Lemmy basses, but there were a couple of folks before him, at least.

Each of the wings in front of him has a unique carving pattern.

Yeah, I noticed that too the last time I saw that picture. Interesting that many LKs are probably unique, possibly all (beyond the hand carving differences).jingle_jangle wrote:Each of the wings in front of him has a unique carving pattern.

Thank you very much, Joey and Kenny!
Yes the differences in details on each LK make them all very unique!

So unique in fact that I can tell the one in the forefront of that pic is mine!
If I recall correctly, the first batch of LK carvings were done by someone who left for Fender, followed by someone else, and finally Richard.
