The original shot from the booklet of the original pressing is featured also on the booklet of the latest remaster (Rhino) which has additional shots from the same session. The pics show that Chris' Telecaster had the white pickguard that is missing from the auction pics.

sorry for the bad scan on that one . i guess it didn't like the surface of the paper ??? that was on my end before i sent it to john.

Man, I've listened to this a million times learning the part and find it hard to believe it was not the RM! I can get that tone out of my RIck.....

I heard it was one of Steve's banjos that was recorded at double speed and then drops one octave once returned to normal speed! (it's how Chris got that really fiborus sound) :mrgreen:
