Great band. The monotone may get a little annoying after a while but the music is excellent.

Interesting. I'm a casual fan (oxymoron?), and hadn't pegged Interpol as a Rick-using band--although, now that I think of it, there is a song on their first album ("Say Hello to Angels," I think) that sounds a lot like early Smiths. Maybe they Ricked out on that one, too.

Pretty close to being my favourite band. I have seen them in Australia four times and Daniel has never played a Rickenbacker. I've only ever seen him playing different Epiphones.

I'll post some pictures I took at the last concert I was at.

I enjoyed that and the great thing about this section is that it introduces New bands that folks havent had the chance to listen to.Thanks for the post.A wise ole owl once said to me music is the spice of life and i suppose he was right.

I thought he always played an Epiphone Riviera or Casino.
Nice. I like 'Obstacle 1' a lot.

Yeah, "Obstacle 1" features some nice guitar interplay. Somebody's been listening to their Television--never a bad thing, IMO.

He did for a long time. If memory serves, a regular poster on the "official" Rick forums is his cousin, and has pushing Ricks on him for a few years. I guess it worked.

I saw them live, and the lead guitar player played a fireglo 330 or 360 on a lot, if not most of the songs, but I can't remember for sure if it was his main guitar.

Paul Banks' vocals sound very Jim Morrison influenced.

The song of their's that I'm most familiar with is "Evil". Wanna play it at the next SoCal jam? :)
