Yep, only the toaster was not that close to the bridge. I also mildly reshaped the body at one point on the first one I had.

Re: The basses of Bad Bad Ronbo!
jeff...you wish all that was yours !
in the god posted pics (from circa 1981 )with the mapleglo deluxe is my custom p-bass i made in grade 11. (pssst...jeff...got the pic of me in school...tee hee)
i took a '76 p-bass neck from the body of my jetglo p-bass( which for some reason i really burned it in my mom's fireplace in moncton...no, i don't know why...just like i don't know why i put my first rick MJ-4844 jetglo thru the bandsaw at the same school a few months earlier and cut the body wings off to glue on birdseye maple wings, which i abandoned and threw the whole thing in the garbage, i don't know why and that's why the MJ-4844 rear pickup is in the custom p-bass !!!!! so there...i said it !)
anyway, the body is black walnut, with maple and a rosewood skunk stripe. the neck is glued on and shaped the body to the neck heel. this p-bass sounded great with dimarzio p-bass adjustable pole pickups and the rick pickup was in the perfect spot.
the mapleglo deluxe MD-1252 is sporting the pickguard and second neck pickup from MJ-4844 . i had just finished assembling the bass after gluing on the walnut headwings and laquering the headstock.
that is my '78 svt i got in framingham mass. at the e.u. wurlitzer store for $ 567.45 after seeing yes in providence rhode island, sept. 1st.
the poster is of pierre senecal who was in the band "mash macan" or something like that with jerry mercer of april wine fame. he used to play moncton solo a lot. used an ampeg v4b for his hohner clavinet wide open...! everybody sing with the bouncing ball...and as the years go by...true love will never die ! anyone remember that ? big hit back in the late '60's.

here's the correct spelling "mash makhan " and you can see jerry mercer from april wine on the right of the pic.

anyone remember ? sing along !
when i saw the keyboardist pierre senecal at the club in 1980, he played that intro on a hohner clavinet thru an ampeg v4b wide open ! was like a les paul thru a marshall amp !
