[As I dont own one and this is purely for knowledge and curiosity reasons I will not post this in the appraisal section]
On a Dutch bassguitarists forum there is some hassle recently about a 2060 which was on marktplaats.nl (an ebay daughter, biggest trading site in Holland) for only 150 euro. Someone who trades in bassrelated gear was first in noticing and buying. A day later he put the bass on marktplaats demanding at least 4 times this amount. (Click here to see the advertisement) Lots of people are angry now as a) he should have been honest about the bass its value towards the seller. b) it should have gone to someone who wants to play it.
Let's not continue this discussion over here, but what I'm interested in is what the value is of this bass. Highest bid at the moment is 1100 euro (There is no time limit on marktplaats). The 2007 "collectable Rickenbacker value and Reference Guide" says the 2060 is worth almost twice as much as a 2030 (with 1 sample), but 1100 euro still is a lot of money in my humble opinion. And I just can't see why my 2030 MID/BT/BH is less valuable as a version with binding on the body, but just a plain maple neck.

Re: 2060 value
John Minutaglio's price guide is based on real sales, and I must confess, that I was the "one" who bought a 2060 Fireglo four years ago for $1325 (I think), forever skewing the sales record. I sold it to a Forumite a couple years later for $1000, so I lost value on that. I'm not looking at euro prices right now, but I think $1000 for a decent-shape 2060 is a fair price these days.
