The Andalusian Guitar music & other instruments interact /1

Post by rubendiaz »

Here is the first video example of how the sound and music of Andalucia (southern Spain) is nowadays -thanks to Paco De Lucia- mixed together and as a result the term “Flamenco /Jazz”
came into existence, combining the richness and beauty of both styles utilizing many instruments.

here is another version of the same piece (rehearsal):

lesson on that piece

and in case you want to know more about all this fusion
and the pioneer musician that started this venture read this:

You may like to read this other article about music as the universe in which guitar is contained and alive, or in other words: how the guitar becomes a great tool for musical invention.

Ruben: Thank you once again for the spirit of sharing. I just love this sterling performance of Chanela.

Congratulations to all the performers. The appreciation that they have for this music and one another is shown by their beaming expressions and the enthusiasm of their performances. At times the group has me running as I follow its musical brilliance and at other times it sweeps me away with arpeggios as soothing as a gentle breeze.

The power of Andalusian guitar music is aptly demonstrated here as this brief journey provides happiness for the heart and sustenance for the soul.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
