Yes it is...and it makes me wonder how much further down the road it was when Sinatra covered "Something"?brammy wrote:Nice pix. I think that ole Frank Sinatra there on the left.

Lots of other stuff I hadn't seen before as well!
So...who is the guy in between Lennon and Jagger?

While we're at it, back on the previous page is a picture of Paul visiting Keith at Olympic Studios. Who is the guy between the two of them?lyle_from_minneapolis wrote:It was a treasure trove I found over here:

Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
We've seen a pix or two from this setting where they play other instruments.
The source says: "Aug 14, 1963 at The Odeon Cinema in Llandudno, Wales
Their gear arrived late and they had to use The Dakotas' gear."
Lewisohn says that on that date: "In the morning they drove to Grenada TV Centre, Manchester, to record two songs; 'Twist And Shout' and 'She Loves You' for Scene. The first was transmitted that night."
So this was apparently without an audience (?). Lewisohn's mention of the show "Scene" was actually ‘Scene at 6:30’, a Granada TV show. The source of the photo got it wrong when he says it was at the Odeon Cinema in Llandudno... that was where the Beatles played on the following three nights. Apparently this Granada film from Manchester has sadly been lost.
Other opinions on the web support my original idea that this was just as sound check prior to the filming and Mal showed up later with the Fab gear. Any other info about this day in the life of The Beatles would be interesting.

In the color pic of the group playing, does it look like George's mouth is bleeding to anyone else?
Maybe it's just me.

Just a shadow of the microphone, made worse by multiple generation copy which increases contrast.
