Opinion's on Mesa Boogie walkabout scout 1x15

Post by GATSBY »

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone here is playing they're 4001/4003's through one of these. I'd really appreciate any opinions and also any other suggestions
For something compact with great sound.
My style is straight ahead R&R. I currently own a 57 Reissue P bass and Im looking to pick up a 4001/4003 and a rig soon.
Thanks, Henry

Henry, I use a Mesa Walkabout 15 with my 4001 and really dig the tone I get from it. It's got a very straight-forward EQ section that I can appreciate. It can sometimes struggle with the seriously high-volume stuff I'm sometimes involved with, but most of the time it's perfect for what I do. If I was really looking at a gig substitute I'd probably pick up a 4x10 to use with just the head.

Henry, I have had a Walkabout 1x15 and an M-Pulse 2x10 for a number of years and they work well with all my basses... They range from a Rick ABG to a 4001V63, a 78 P Bass and a Fodera Monarch. Love Mesa Bass...
