Wow. If I read my yen correctly, all of these are over $5,000 in USD.

Chain of Command Pt II, an exchange between the recently knighted Sir Patrick Stewart and David Warner - two excellent Brit actors

Yep: The economic law of scarcity is in play here. RIC built only 60 units of each model. "60" units was selected as the production number because it was the dsitributor Shinsedo's 60th anniversary IIRC. :D

The cost per unit could arguably be lower were the models to be a regular production guitar(more units produced =less cost per unit, all other factors remaining equal), though probably not by a whole lot if so, since it's a VRI model, and more folks buy regular production models than VRI models.

If produced, and the cost were indeed lower, the price of a 360 C63 might be slightly less than the price of the 360/12 C63, by about the same percentage as the difference in price between the 660 and 660/12, or 381 and 381/12 models.

I could be wrong about that, but at the very least, a six string model might be less by the amount of of the cost of six tuners, the time/labor cost of routing channels into a 12 string headstock, and the difference in cost between a 6 string set and a 12 sring set.

In any case, I am not in the guitar biz, so I don't know for sure; it's a guess, based on other 6/12 VRI models, and recalling my study of Economics. :)

Of course, given the number of double bound fetishist lemmings such as myself, RIC could probably charge whatever they want and I'd buy at least one or two, especially if it came in a flashy solid color, in Eric Behring's one-off greeburst, or any or the 4004 trans finishes. :D

Have I put everyone to sleep yet?
