Prince and the Revolution

Post by miltric »

This is weird. I'm 99% sure it's P and the R rehearsing back in the day (it's certainly one of their songs), but there's no information on the video to acknowledge it as such---perhaps because it's been posted illicitly? Anyway, that's Wendy playing her 330 on the right there.

EC in the title = "Erotic City," the non-LP flipside of "Let's Go Crazy."

Wendy's 330 is kinda neeto - stop tail and Dan'o lipstick pickups!

Thanks--I couldn't quite remember the name. I actually had the single back in the day. Haven't listened to Prince's more recent stuff, but his '80s output was superb.

He is one guy I hold in the highest esteem. Hit or miss, it feels like he is doing it for the love of the music and chasing the sounds in his head. Gotta respect that!

Prince is the guy who could have been. What an amazing guitarist and song writer, but he seemed to be more into his artistic image than the music. I did love listening to him play.

Prince was awesome... I don't own every record or anything, but I love reading about his production techniques and eccentricities. Kiss and When Dove's Cry have no bass at all!! And when he delivered Kiss to the record company, they said, no way we can release this without bass... but he said it was that or nothing at all, and it was a hit. 8) Stuff like that is hilarious.
Great Ramp In My Opinion.
