Ashdown

Post by ricaddic »

Hello fellow formites, once again im looking for opinions on some bass gear im hopeing someone has and can give me some hands on opinions about, Im looking into purchashing an Ashdown Klystron 500 head, and eithier the Kystron 4-10 cab or the ABM 4-10 cab, I had the mag series 4-10 combo with the mag 1-15 deep bass cab and liked them very much but have always wanted the uk made Klystron head, so any personal feelings about this gear would be appreciated, hopefully someone owns this gear and can give me some personal experince insight, thank you,"HAPPY RICKEN"

I've been using an old ABM500 Evo 1 head for years and I love it with my Ricks. Big and growly; reliable too.

I used one on The Shapes 2008 UK tour, as there was no way I could get my own Trace Elliot stacks over to England. It had a very impressive sound with nice modeling and a very nice crunch to it. I was impressed enough by it that if I wasn't committed to using Trace Elliot gear, I'd certainly go with Ashdown.
