Tuner Pedal Question

Hi-
I am planning on adding a tuner pedal to my board. Looking at all the usual suspects. I will be adding a 360/12 to my collection shortly. Should that impact my choices at all? Any recommendations? I have read some great threads here on 12 string tuning so I understand the basics. But just wanted to see if there were any +/- to the different pedal tuners with a 12 string in the mix.

On a board, I'd go with a Boss TU-2. 12-stringers, no problem. Handles bass well, too.

I've started using an excellent free app on my Droid called G-strings. It's very precise. Skip the pedal mess altogether!

I have a Peterson Stroboflip, which is quite nice, similar to the Strobostomp in it action. Recently, I have been reading great things about the Turbo Tuner, so I may get one to check out.

Boss has a new tuner coming out, the TU-3. Its supposed to be more accurate.

Might not be cheap like the option stated above for on a mobile, but it's way more easy to use than to mess with a mobile!
There;s an iPhone app for tuning as well, if I'm not mistaking

+1 on the Stroboflip.

It has sweetened tunings for guitar and both regular and octave strings on a 12 string.

You can mount a flip to your pedal board, but it mounts nicely to a music or mic stand, so it's easier for us presbyopics to read..

Dead right, Steve..... plus one!!

I mount my Stroboflip on the Hercules triple hanger stand that I use. It's fantastic having a tuner with a massive, well lit display at around chest level. Sure beats peering down into the darkness looking for needles, LEDs and such!!

And it's a brilliant tuner as well.

3X more accurate. TU-2 is at +/- 3 cents, TU-3 is at +/- 1 cent. The display is also brighter and isn't segmented like the TU-2. The strobe setting is annoyingly accurate.

I've got a strobostomp and I hardly use it, I have the strobosoft on the comp which I use mostly.

The stomp is very hard to get used to, I couldn't imagine using it live. The software version is much better, not so fussy how you pluck the string. The stomp you have to pluck the strings very softly with your finger, and it's a toss up between plucking too hard and not enough volume, can be very frustrating. Maybe it's just me.

I would recommend the Boss TU tuners, they are very good for live use. You don't really need strobe tuning accuracy for live work, get one if you record a lot or set up intonation etc., a lot.

+1 for the Pitchblack ,doesn't take up much board space , easy to read at gigs , fast and accurate.

The Turbo Tuner is the best of the bunch. Most accurate, quickest, small footprint, programmable.

So no specific recommendations based on adding a 12 String? Fair enough. Thanks for the replies. If there all about the same I think I am leaning towards a Pitchblack based on some friends who own them....
