test driving a 67 Blue Boy Recreation

Post by billydlight »

Its a Real 67 Rick, Some one gave it a lousy Spray can Sally, so its just been refinned with Checkerboard back and front and Headstock

WOW! Nice Billy! Curt is THE MAN. Did you happen to see my 12-string while you were there?

I'm gonna have him re-do my "White Boy" in the same color as yours. 8)

D'oh! 66 yep. Well, its 2:20am EST, just got back from the Gig and the Blue Boy RAWKED!!!! This thing is just ridiculous! I put a 50's Bridge and a 60's neck P'up in. I put grommets under the pickguard to lift it off the body. It look sawsome and sounds better. I put a Bigsby Bowtie on it with an Ac'cent. Intonates Beautifully. Pics later! :D

Here's some pics from last night. To my eyes THIS is Blue Boy!!! The guitar was just Rockin. I set it up with elevatef Pickguards, a 50s Bridge toaster and a 60's neck. Ac'cent Vib with a Bigsby Bow Tie bridge. Intonates beautifully and is everything it could possibly be: Resonant, sweet but biting. Absolutely Kerranges thru the Vox
