So let's have a look at some of surf music pounders..starting with Jeremy Redford from Polo Del mar and the legend Dusty Watson from Slacktone..show was at The Hotel Utah 2008

While The Ventures were never strictly a surf band they are often id'd as one. The late Mel Taylor could really tear it up..know in Japan as "The Human Tornado"

OMG!!! Wipeout is AMAZING!!! Fantastic lead guitar playing!!! And, is the second guitar player playing a baritone guitar?

Love that sound! Oh, and the drummer is pretty good too. :wink:

Mel Taylor's drumming was magnificent, in perfect balance with the guitars. It's a shame that he passed away before The Ventures were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
