It may take some folks a bit of time to realize that what they're seeing here is not a 'mini' NY, but a film of the full-scale original shot in such a way as to make it seem a miniature. I believe this approach was pioneered by the Italian film maker Olivo Barbieri...here's his 'site specific - vegas 05':



Pretty amazing, and no CGI or digital editing, just playing with focus and depth-of-field...
I didn't get where I am today by being on time...

Aren't they using that "trick" in an Allstate TV commercial where vehicles and people keep moving around a house?
