Re: Need Help
Lighter strings might help. What type and gauge strings are you using now?
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!
Re: Need Help
IM using D'addario 45, 65, 85, 105. I really like the bottom end of 85 and 105s, but due to this problem i keep having, looks like I will have to go for a set of medium gauge strings. I could always have the 45-105 on my jazz too sadly not on the Rick

I use the D'Addario EXL-170 nickel and EPS-170 stainless steel sets .100 to .045 gauge on my 4001 basses. Never had a problem getting the neck right. Set them up once with those strings and haven't needed to adjust them since.

Re: Need Help
would a worn out bearing plate be affecting the operation of the rods at all? Its in pretty rough shape too. So i might order some parts from the boutique store on Rics official site and see how that goes.

Re: Need Help
They unfortunately don't stock the thick aluminum plate that the old-style rods use, anymore. These generally must be fabricated from a piece of 7/16" X 1/4" X 1" (approx.) half-hard aluminum, using a drill, hacksaw and files.
