crack opinions of my masters:)
i have a new 1978 4001azg but it has a little hairy crack.i love 4001 sound and this rare colour but i have some questions:
1-is this crack very importand?
2-it has very very used 0.40 set but i want to use 0.45 (thomastic super alloy set).is it hard to use for me with this crack?
3- or another what you want for carefull using
waiting masters:)

This looks like a typical headstock/neck separation crack. Hard to tell from the small pictures; not too clear on the focus, either. Anyway, get it repaired.
This is either from overtightening the truss rods or from a trauma to the headstock.

It's worth repairing and should be fine and without problems as long as the repair is done well.

How does a luthier repair this sort of thing? I wouldn't have a clue.

They basically glue it. This sounds simple, but there is a lot of artistry involved in ensuring the truss-rod channels remain glue-free.

i wil try what you said.
we have exellent luthiers here but they don't know how the Rick adjusment and repair.a little bit Mission Impossible for me but i will try my chance
