hahaha! sure thing. i met him three times over the years in san francisco, actually. on the occasion where i met the mrs. and kids, zak starkey of The Who was drumming for johnny's band, the Healers. i'd taken my Who tour book with me to the venue to ask Zak to sign it for me. we got to speaking and i mentioned that i was a huge Who AND Smiths/Marr fan. anyway, i'd seen the Who five times and Marr three times, but was actually too broke at the time to attend that night's show, as i'd just been through a divorce and was absolutely penniless. zak mentioned it to johnny who was in the sound check, then said "no worries, just come back at show time and give your name at the ticket window." i was elated to see Marr yet again, because i was Not expecting too. when i gave my name at the window i founf not one but Two tickets waiting, as well *** Backstage Passes for the aftershow get together. anyway, every time i've met johnny he's been gracious and giving, but that time took the cake. was such a thrill to meet miss angie, who took my all time favorite photo of johnny (trhe centerfold photo in The Smiths "strangeways, here we come" album. she was amused and laughed that anyone had noticed she was the photgrapher, and was as equally sweet and nice as johnny. truly a memorable night!

That's a dream night! Wow! Lucky you, but also, they must have sensed you were good people.suedehead71 wrote:DOUBLEUman wrote:Ok, next time, you tell him you've a new friend from America who's also coming over to meet the fam, too, right?suedehead71 wrote: i've had the pleasure of seeing him wield his Rickenbacker once in person, and also meeting and conversing with Marr on two occasions, even being invited in to meet the family.

i like to fantasize that they remembered me from the previous meetings, but i doubt it. haha. everyone i know who has ever met marr has said the same thing, that he's very engaging and kind.
my buddy who has devoted Years of his life learning Marr's songs and is the guitarist in This Charming Band, one of california's most revered Smiths tribute bands, recently met him and said Marr
actually asked him more questions than the other way around, which he couldn't believe. i guess it's pretty cool when one's guitar idol is asking you how you play certain things!

Does someone have some accurate tabs laying around for me maybe?
Great Ramp In My Opinion.
