Re: Double Bound Fever
Well, from all the responses, there are lots of enthusiastic members of the Double Bound Club and many of you have been dealing with recent bouts of the Fever yourselves !
Thanks to all the well wishers.... Pualie, Scotty, Brian (West Canada), Aitch, Collin, Joey, Jake, Brian (East Canada), Craig, Kenny, Mateybob, et. al.
Probably just a stroke of good luck to find a closet classic that was truly in "mint condition" ...as we all have been disappointed by sellers misdecribing their gear over the years. I dunno if California has any more closet classics per capita than elsewhere ----- Sometimes its just "timing" and you catch the seller when he is not feeling so sentimetal about a guitar, that is not his "go to" instrument...
I just kept staying in touch with this Craig's List seller periodically (He started posting ads before Christmas). I think its 90% about timing.
Scotty: I will probably keep it as is for right now.... not sure about putting on Toasters. As there is some merit to keeping it "original" . I have two other Ricks with Toasters already ... but who knows, if I start getting Three- Pickup Toaster fever, I might go that route.....
First task is to remove almost 30 years of grime, dust and sweat and let it's inner JetGlo beauty shine ...

Re: Double Bound Fever
Congratulations Rich, that is a smashing buy. I'm loving the small headstock with Grovers as much as the binding. Nice
