Nice, Mario! Please post some new pictures of it when you get it.

Way to go, Mario! I've got a '95 and all I can say is plug it in, turn it up, and batten down the hatches.

Schweet Mario ... that is one fine looking bass!

Very nice. I don't think I've had the chance to play one of those. Love to hear your report.

Mario,
Congrats, and welcome to the tribe!
I love my 4004Cii. Many folks here will agree that the 4004 basses are one of the best-kept "secrets" of the low-frequency world!
I've found that it makes a perfect pairing with my 4003 - they each have their own unique sonic signature, and they each have something different to offer.

Yep. I'm a 4003 owner, and for my next one, I was considering a fully vintage 4001, but now a 4004 is he direction I'm heading. I think a great re-release would be that same walnut with a brushed or satin bronze type of metal.rickenbrother wrote:They are THE best kept secret of the low frequency world!superdick2112 wrote:I love my 4004Cii. Yup, 4004s are great! I've got a 4001, two 4003s and a 4004Cjj (it used to be a 4004Cii). If the 4004 has any failing, it's the lack of individual volume and tone controls for each pickup, oh, and for a Ric-O-Sound junkie like me, only mono output.
Of course, those issues can be easily overcome...
