Greetings from a new member...
Not sure if a new topic is warranted, although I thought I would introduce myself as I'm new to the forum.
I've been playing Fender Jaguars and Jazzmasters almost exclusively for the last decade or so, yet I've been GASing (RASing?) for a Ric since I first started playing guitar as a teenager. I plan on acquiring a 330JG or 360JG in the near future, however my preference would be to track down a nice 360WB or 360/6v64.
I've been a member over at offsetguitars.com for a few years (a great resource for Jags, Jazzmasters, Mustangs etc.) and am very happy to find what seems to be an equally friendly and knowledgeable forum in RickResource.
Kind regards,
Michael (batchainpuller)

A hearty welcome to you, Michael! After 30 posts here, you can view the classifieds and find that first Rick that you're looking for. I remember my first, ahhhhhhhhhhh ...
(I've actually still got it after 28 years)

Hi Michael and welcome to the RRF. Do stick around. We'd love to hear your thoughts. And yes, this really is a great place to learn about all things Rickenbacker. They truly are wonderful guitars.

Welcome Michael. I like your handle. A Beefheart fanatic like myself?
I'm also at offsetguitars, though I haven't been there much lately since I don't own any anymore.

Welcome, Michael!
To whet your appetite (or, if you are a geologist,"wet your apatite"
), here's a nice 360/12 JG WB I spotted on a Craigslist (seller won't ship):

Thanks for the kind welcome, folks.
Yes, John, I'm a huge fan of Mr. Van Vliet, as everyone should be! I remember you from OSG as well, although I don't post there too often anymore either.
And Gary, the six-stringed version of that Rick is exactly what I'm looking for. Someday soon I hope...

Welcome Michael......you'll find out things here about Rickenbackers that you didn't even know you wanted to know
If you get a chance, check out www.coolguitarz.com. There are a few cool Rics on there.

Re: Greetings from a new member...
coming from a similar background, I've found this forum to be a comparable resource to OSG. With equally nice folks, too.
It was pretty natural (for me at least) to move from JM -> Jag -> 360. All inhabit a similar part of the guitar world. (= the good part
