How can I make my RM370 easier to play?

Post by s_gunderson »

I am lucky enough to have an almost mint RM 370. I had it set up recently, but it is still hard to play past the A bar chord. I know this is to be expected, but anything I can do to make it easier? Any suggestions on lighter gage strings maybe? I really appreciate the willingness to help from this forum!

What do you exactly mean by hard to play?

The best solution is probably to practice alot with it untill you're completly comfortable.

Send it to me and I will check it out and see what the problem may be. Someday you may get it back, but by then you won't miss it anymore, as by then you would probably have found a guitar that is more comfortable for you!

Steven, send me an e-mail. I'd like to know more. That is not to be expected and maybe some more setup is in order. What kind of strings?
That's not normal for a RIC 12. I have had literally dozens of 12 strings and every one of them was playable up the neck after I set it up.

You might want to get a hold of Mark Arnquist. I recently had a 360/12 worked over by him, and the guitar now plays itself. I can not believe the difference from before he did his magic on it. I would highly recommend that anyone with a 12 string contact him.

Steven: What type of strings are you using?
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
