Huh, I didn't notice that first look. I have a routed plastic bezel like that that came with my '75 4001 when I bought it a few years ago. I wanted it original so I put a Rick tailpiece back on. The bezel just sits on a shelf.

The Badass II is on my Jazz copy.

Here I am last Saturday, playing my '94 4003. I got specific compliments on the sound of the bass from 2 people, one of whom said he knew it was a Rickenbacker from outside the club, before he even saw it. Was a fun night - our Saturday St. Patrick's Day Parade was that afternoon, and the club was jammed with St. Patrick's partiers. Photo by Lindsey J.
